Ratanakiri Governor highly appreciates THACO AGRI's large-scale investment in agriculture
Leaders from Koun Mom Complex met with Mr. Nhem Sam Oeun, the Governor of Ratanakiri province (Cambodia), and other provincial officials on Dec. 7 to discuss THACO AGRI's investment in agriculture.
In a comprehensive briefing, Mr. Trinh Tuan Kien, Koun Mom Complex Vice Director, outlined THACO and THACO AGRI's operations, 2023 investment and production results, and 2024 projections. He elaborated on labor policies for Cambodian workers and explored agricultural collaboration models with local authorities, businesses, and farmers. Additionally, he updated the Governor and officials on construction progress within the complex.
With support, Governor Nhem Sam Oeun of Ratanakiri province lauded THACO AGRI's substantial investment in the region, crediting it for spurring local development. He praised the company's employee policies, finding them aligned with both the Cambodian government's and his own leadership's vision. Governor Oeun also pledged the constant support of provincial officials, assuring THACO AGRI of a favorable environment for future investment and expansion within the framework of Cambodian law.
As the meeting drew to a close, Koun Mom Complex leaders proposed building new roads in villages near the complexes in Lumphat and Kounmom districts. They also sought the Governor's support in amplifying their agricultural ventures across the province, envisioning disseminating employee and recruitment policies far and wide, creating more jobs for local people for broader stability in the region, providing educational opportunities for children of employees, and support the company's efforts to provide healthcare services for its employees.
