On August 19, THACO attended the scholarship awarding ceremony organized by HCM City Women for female students in the academic year 2023-2024.

At the event, the newspaper granted 24 scholarships, each worth VND2 million, to the female students. The scholarships were dedicated to daughters of Women’s Union members who are living in difficulties in the city. In addition, the newspaper also gave the scholarships to 15 female students who lost their nurturers due to Covid-19 pandemic, worth VND10 million each.

The scholarship has been organized by HCM City Women’s Newspaper over the past 32 years, bearing significant meanings. THACO has been a sponsor of the scholarship since 2018, seeking to give aids to the underprivileged families and providing opportunities for the students to pursue their dreams of living a better life.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Ly Viet Trung, the newspaper Editor-in-chief stated, “With the support of the philanthropists and sponsors, these scholarships aim to uplift, accompany the students and their families. Through this program, we hope that the students will gain more inspiration, determination to achieve high academic results; overcome difficulties and challenges, be able to take care of themselves, their families and contribute to the country.”
