Recently, Chu Lai Port leaders had a working session with VBS Investment and Commercial JSC to discuss the market and export demand for agricultural products, e.g. cassava chips as well as their bilateral cooperation opportunities in the coming time. In April, VBS expects to export nearly 1,700 tons of cassava chips to China through Chu Lai Port.

Currently, throughputs of goods such as tapioca starch, pellets, wood chips at the port have increased 3-4 times, handling time down by 50%, and the costs of goods handling and storage 5 - 40% lower than other places in the region. The port is currently a reliable agricultural goods import and export partner of many businesses, including Thanh Thanh Dat, Quang Ngai Agricultural Products, Asia Creative Energy, Quang Nam Paper Materials, etc. Every month, 50,000 tons of wood chips from Thanh Thanh Dat, 1,400 tons of tapioca starch from Quang Ngai Agricultural Products are exported through the port.
