Its phase-2 foundation treatment is nearly 90% complete; pile construction has reached 98%, combined with the dredged depth in front of the port reaching 11.6 meters. Besides, the 3-tier cranes and 2 gantry cranes at the container yard and in front of the terminal are also nearing completion. Throughout the process, work efficiency and labor safety have been closely controlled by Chu Lai Port and its partners.

The new 50,000-ton terminal will extend the total length of Chu Lai Port to 836 meters, receiving container ships carrying up to 50,000 DWT. This expansion will significantly enhance the capacity of the port's logistics supply chain, promote import-export activities, enable the development of production, and effectively fueling region's economic growth.

Mr. Phan Van Ky, Chu Lai Port’s Director stated: “Chu Lai Port is focusing on technical-intensive investments, complete key projects, enhance the port's capabilities, and upgrade its infrastructure and equipment to meet the import-export needs.”
