THACO holds 2024 Year Opening Ceremony
On February 15, at Chu Lai Industrial Park, THACO kicked off the new year with a grand opening ceremony. The event connected virtually with employees across its Vietnamese offices, spanning 56 provinces, and reaching into neighboring Laos and Cambodia, with participation from agricultural complexes in Attapeu, Koun Mom, and Snuol.
Attending were Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Quang Nam Party Secretary, Mr. Le Van Dung, Quang Nam Party Permanent Deputy Secretary, Head of Quang Nam National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee, and THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong.
THACO's 2024 Message was delivered by the Chairman, outlining key strategies for navigating a challenging economic landscape: In 2024, THACO embarks on the second year of its multi-industry strategy and five-year plan (2023-2027). While the Vietnamese economy anticipates numerous challenges in the coming year, THACO and Sub-holdings remain steadfast in their commitment to navigate change. Internal resource enhancement and prioritized management upgrades shall continue, ensuring the achievement of production and business plans aligned with established strategic goals.
In response to the 2024 Message from the THACO Chairman, leadership across THACO and Sub-holdings are to demonstrably internalize their roles, responsibilities, and key objectives for the year. Furthermore, the leaders need to reaffirm their commitment to enhanced effort, proactive approaches, and heightened sensitivity in managing and operationalizing their respective units to ensure the highest levels of efficiency. THACO President Pham Van Tai emphasized: "With unwavering dedication to THACO and the national economic growth, we commit ourselves to a culture of lifelong learning and the practice of positive attitudes and behaviors. By actively upgrading our expertise and management skills, we aim to foster THACO's sustainable development within the context of regional and global integration. This commitment embodies the very aspiration of THACO.”
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Quang Nam Party Secretary lauded THACO's outstanding achievements in 2023: "THACO's six core industries have demonstrably achieved sustained growth and development, evidenced by consistent business scaling and expansion, continuous quality improvement, and the integration of smart technology within its products. Consequently, the corporation has solidified its leading position in the national landscape."
The Quang Nam Party Secretary exhorted THACO's leadership and staff to leverage internal resources, prioritize innovation, craft adaptable strategies to navigate global economic uncertainties, secure planned goals and bolster the multi-industry model's high complementarity and integration. Emphasizing deep integration, the Quang Nam Party Secretary expressed his hope that THACO would excel as a leader and facilitator. This role would involve creating opportunities for local small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the supply chain, fostering a sustainable business ecosystem in Chu Lai. Ultimately, this would enhance the attractiveness of Chu Lai and Quang Nam open economic zones for domestic and foreign investors, contributing to the transformation of Quang Nam into a thriving and well-established province which is positioned as a key driver of growth in central Vietnam by 2023.
