The TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding course was organized by THACO INDUSTRIES in partnership with THACO College from June 19 to July 10, for 15 employees working at the Mechanical Zone.

The students were given instructions on the structure, operating principles, characteristics, classification, how to use welding tools, the TIG welding techniques at positions 1F, 1G, 2F, and safety regulations. Then, they spent the remaining course practicing selecting welding modes, protective gas flow in accordance with material thickness and welding joint types, selecting torch oscillation, doing welds from 1F to 1G to ensure depth and correct size, and when done, evaluate the quality and fix the defects if any.

The stainless steel TIG welding is commonly used in different industries, especially mechanical engineering. Yet, it is a difficult technique that can harm the mechanical properties of the material; therefore it requires high skills to create products with aesthetics and quality that meet customer requirements. With this course, the students can master the TIG methods and techniques to improve product quality, work efficiency and ensure occupational safety at work.
