On Feb. 28, the Vietnam Writers' Association held the Young Author Award 2022 to honor outstanding works of poetry, prose, critical theory and translation, under the sponsorship by THACO.

The Young Author Award is part of the Vietnam Writers' Association awards to discover young literary talents, encourage and foster new writers, contributing to the development of Vietnamese literature. The award is also an annual event to discover young talents and give them ways for development.

In 2022, there were 161 works submitting the Vietnam Writers Association's award entries, including 50 works of prose, 61 works of poetry, 14 works of critical theory, 19 works of literary translation, and 17 works of children literature.

Among those, 3 works won the Young Author Award, including Le Vu Truong Giang from Hue Province with the short story collection Exhausted Court Dress (Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House), Vi Ha from Binh Thuan Province with a poem collection Looking for shadows (Writers' Association Publishing House), and Tran Duc Tin from Ca Mau Province with Nine branches of yellow skin (Writers' Association Publishing House).

This is the second year that THACO sponsors the "Young Author" Award in hopes to create more development room for the Vietnamese literature, thereby creating conditions for young writers to develop, and building a beautiful country with enriched national identity.
