Over 2.9 million tons of goods go through Chu Lai port in 2022’s first 9 months
In the first 9 months of 2022, throughput at Chu Lai port has reached more than 2.9 million tons, including 2 million tons of container cargos and 900,000 tons of bulk and liquid cargos. The imports and exports are mainly auto parts, mechanical products, fruits, tapioca starch, tablets, wood chips, household appliances, and garment.
In 2022, the port has been investing to upgrade its supply chain to provide customers with the most optimal and convenient services. In the past 9 months, the port has synchronously invested in its infrastructure, i.e. building new systems of warehouses and container yards, completing paperwork for the 50,000-ton terminal project, dredging the existing fairways, and upgrading transport vehicles and equipment. The company has also diversified and improved its service quality to achieve faster goods release time, saving time and costs for customers. In particular, it has been focusing on promoting appropriate business and customer service policies, meeting the increasing import and export needs of businesses in central Vietnam, the Central Highlands, Southern Laos and northern Cambodia.
